In April 2015, Road Accident Fund (RAF) Chief Executive Officer Dr Eugene Watson said that there was 48.7% increase in car crash fatalities over the Easter period compared to the same period in 2014. This statistic is extremely concerning.

The Road Accident Fund is in place in order to allow for aggrieved parties to receive compensation for injuries and/or loss suffered as a result of a motor vehicle collision.
